KRKA NATIONAL PARK

Krka National Park in Dalmatia is famous for its emerald-green river courses, tufa terraces and impressive waterfalls. Its centrepiece is Skradinski buk: along well-maintained paths and wooden footbridges, you can discover waterways, cascades and viewpoints – around 2 hours is recommended for the walk on site.
Getting there via Lozovac is particularly convenient, with free parking available; from April to October, park buses run to Skradinski buk and back (in winter, you can drive further in).
Alternatively, you can come via Skradin – the boat trip from Skradin to Skradinski buk is included in the park ticket.
If you want to see more, you can book a boat excursion on site, for example towards Visovac or Roški slap (these excursions are subject to an additional charge).
Good to know for swimming: Swimming is permitted only in designated zones at Roški slap, Stinice and Pisak from 1 June to 30 September – nowhere else.
This makes Krka ideal for a day trip with plenty of nature, easy walking trails and fantastic photo opportunities – at its best when you set off early.
