Roche Blanche – Loop in the Haut-Jura Nature Park

Roche Blanche is a spectacular viewpoint in the Haut-Jura Nature Park, above the Saint-Claude region. The popular loop trail (circular hike) leads through typical Haut-Jura landscapes with forest sections, limestone cliffs and recurring wide-open views.

At the Belvédère de la Roche Blanche, an impressive panorama awaits you – including a view down over Saint-Claude, the Cluse du Flumen and the surrounding folded structures of the Jura Mountains. The route is considered moderate and is manageable with a good basic level of fitness (depending on the variant, around 3–3.5 hours).
The excursion is particularly beautiful in clear weather, when the green Jura slopes and bright bands of rock create a striking contrast.

The viewpoint is also suitable as a picnic spot – please take care near the edges and stay on the paths.
